Hello and welcome to my photography portfolio!

My name is Nick Gentile. Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, I now call Colorado home. Largely self-taught from a young age, my passion for landscape and wildlife photography has led me to incredible destinations around the United States, where I have experienced some of the most remote and remarkable natural wonders the country has to offer.
Through photography, I aim to showcase the diversity of the natural world and the small details that make each place unique. For me, photography is as much about the journey as it is about the final image. It encourages me to slow down, pay closer attention to my surroundings, and view the world from new perspectives. This portfolio is a collection of those experiences, featuring the landscapes, wildlife, and wild places that have made the greatest impression on me along the way.

- Around Alaska – 2022This series is a snippet of the three incredible months I spent working around the wilderness of Alaska. From the frontier town of McCarthy deep in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, to the very northern tip at Deadhorse and Prudhoe Bay, I explored just a fraction of the experiences Alaska had to offer.
- The World’s Longest Art Gallery – Nine Mile Canyon, UtahNine Mile Canyon in Utah houses the “World’s Longest Art Gallery,” showcasing the ancient Fremont Culture’s rock art and artifacts. The canyon’s 46-mile stretch boasts thousands of petroglyphs and pictographs, depicting daily life, religious beliefs, and myths of the Fremont people. Unfortunately, graffiti threatens these invaluable cultural remnants, emphasizing the need for respectful exploration and preservation.
